Frequently Asked Questions
It usually comes down to guest count. Townsite Avenue Ballroom seats up to 600 banquet or 800 theater on the ground floor, with the 40ft projection wall and dance floor. Townsite 16 holds up to 300 banquet or 400 theater on the 16th floor, with 360 degree views and chandeliers. Both floor plans are linked above.
Yes, five of them, rented by the hour or the day. The Bizhub conference room on the 9th floor fits 8 to 10 and the 8th floor conference room fits 12 to 16. For classroom setups there is the Forum Room on the 3rd floor west side at 35 to 50, the Plaza 3 meeting room at 50 to 80, and the Terrace Room on the 3rd floor south side at 70 to 100. Catering is in-house by K1 Hospitality, the same team that runs the venue. The full event menu is published as a PDF with pricing, so you can plan and budget your menu before you talk to anyone.
Hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, plated or buffet entrees, dual plated entrees, and specialty buffets. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are marked on the menu. Plated meals come with salad, dinner rolls, a choice of vegetable, and a choice of starch.

Townsite is at 534 S Kansas Ave, Suite 175, in downtown Topeka. Both venues offer garage parking for your guests.
A/V is in house. The Ballroom has a 40ft wide by 10ft tall projection wall, and both venues can use the house PA and microphones and four 75" portable TVs. Staging up to 8’x20’ with stairs, extra flat screens, and spark fountains are available as add-ons.
Your call. K1 Hospitality can be involved as much or as little as you want, from renting just the room to full service planning, setup, service, and clean up.
